David Trimmier

David Trimmier is a native of Mobile, Alabama. As a young fellow, he became a protégé of the late Ray Breneman, a commercial photographer and Brooks Institute alumnus. Later, he attended seminars taught by the late Roy Thigpen. Beyond that, he was largely self-taught, until all of his cameras and accessories were stolen in a burglary.  After a 25-year hiatus, David’s deep and abiding love for the photographic process was reignited. In the summer of 2002, he was appointed chief photographer for “Lagniappe,” a fortnightly alternative newspaper in Mobile.
