Professional Development Workshop Schedule

The ILC offers a variety of workshops and seminars that address teaching strategies and instructional technologies. Our workshops typically take place in the ILC Multipurpose Room, located in the main building, unless otherwise noted. The workshops are also available on our calendar. Questions? HyFlex Series: Engaging ALL Students in a Synchronous Hybrid Class Session | Monday, October 7 | 12:30pm - 1:00pm | Zoom

Synchronous online classes is a common mode of participation for HyFlex courses. However, managing both online and in-person students can be challenging. In this session, we will discuss strategies that can be used to engage all students.

Innovation Expo: A Gallery Walk of Tech Tools for Learning | Tuesday, October 8 | 2:00pm - 3:00pm

This expo will introduce faculty to four different educational technology tools: Padlet, Pear Deck, Perusall, and “Painting” with AI. We will introduce the uses of the four tools, provide suggestions for educational use, and provide resources for additional information. Faculty will have an opportunity to see the tools in use and ask questions. Come check out these resources that can help increase student engagement.

LevelUPS Student Learning and Success with ePortfolios | Tuesday, October 22 | 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Support students in reflecting on their learning as well as connecting learning activities with the development of career readiness competencies by joining us for this interactive session designed to help you:

• Unlock the power of ePortfolios: Discover how, as a high-impact practice, ePortfolios support student reflection, learning assessment, and career readiness.
• Craft ePortfolio reflection assignments: Gain practical skills to guide students in meaningful reflection on their learning experiences and competency development.
• Leverage the LevelUP Toolkit: Access valuable resources like an ePortfolio assignment template, website, and Canvas module, along with NACE competency icons for integration.
