One week, Ari Theodore is in South Dakota. The next, he may be hundreds of miles away in another small town. The University of South Alabama graduate, who majored in English and drama, spends his workweeks traveling the country in one of the Missoula Children's Theatre's iconic Little Red Trucks. Along with a tour partner, he is guiding K-12 students from auditions to curtain calls to discover the magic of theater.

Sydney Davis wasn't the kind of child who naturally commanded a room. Today, she's the first person visitors will meet when they walk through the doors of Hatch Fairhope. "I think my younger self would probably say, 'Wow, you're in charge of everything,'" she said.

The University of South Alabama Division of Student Affairs, Office of Student Involvement and Fraternity and Sorority Life recently held their second annual Student Excellence Awards. The ceremony honored student organizations and Greek life for their members' academic achievements, community involvement and leadership skills displayed throughout the 2025-2026 academic year.
